I am the sole employee in charge of creating the bodies of work, website updates, email marketing, accounting, branding, advertising, networking, and social media. Girl boss. Stuart/Bullard Family | Cambridgeshire, UK and Omaha, NE Full-Time Carer NOVEMBER 2016 - PRESENT In charge of carrying two female humans to term, even past term in one case study, while ensuring my own physical, mental and emotional well-being. Following birth, my duties shifted to caring for incisions, injections, and scarring; meal planning for various stages of ability; ensuring correctly sized clothes, shoes, toys, and accessories, including but not limited to car seats, strollers, and carriers; and cleansing bodies, garments and accessories of all bodily functions not caught by highly researched safeguarding measures. Lead teacher and researcher for age-appropriate movements, play, self-care, and education/schooling. Head of research and procurement of hazard-, chemical-, plastic-free and/or organic household inventory. Continuously accepted the role as social director for various stages of ability providing reservations and/or appointments, extracurricular time tables, transportation, and sustenance. All duties were performed in fast-paced or painfully slow, often high-stress and/or low-sleep, environments. Promoted to international relocation manager for three international moves in four years. Ensured adequate age-appropriate sustenance and activities for each family member throughout each route as well as temporary and permanent home bases with each new location. The next international move is scheduled for 2024. Managed a one-income budget to ensure we live well, live happy, and live fully. To date, the hardest and most rewarding position held. I may have left out various important aspects however I believe these have been clouded or forgotten by the intense love felt during the years in this position. Project Design Company | Washington, DC Senior Graphic + Web Designer JUNE 2012 - NOVEMBER 2016 Provided clarity to complex information by creating engaging brand solutions. Research, strategy, and problem-solving are strongly integrated with my design process. Most successful projects involved interactive or experience aspects and in-depth strategic branding. Active team member during collaborations, client meetings, and community functions. Mentor to junior designer and interns. Continued my position as a part-time designer when I relocated to the UK in June 2015. American University | Washington, DC Adjunct Professor AUGUST 2014 - DECEMBER 2014 Taught an introductory studio course within the graphic design program. Managed lesson plans for two classes per week, project and course grading for 17 students, correspondence, and related readings. The goals of understanding, discussing, recognizing, and creating visual communications in a variety of guided settings were met by a majority of the class. NDG Communications | La Plata, MD Senior Graphic Designer SEPTEMBER 2011 - JUNE 2012 Senior designer in an agency setting. Created a range of print and digital deliverables for home building and medical industries. Mentored junior designers, and educated on new processes and technologies. Worked with an internal billing system and responsible for digital filing and production flow. Performed weekly research to familiarize team with emerging trends. The Humblebee Hive | Charleston, SC and Washington, DC Entrepreneur JUNE 2007 - JULY 2015 Focused on small businesses and cause-oriented groups. Humblebee began its first steps through an equal number of paid and pro-bono clients. Performed student or colleague portfolio reviews. Transitioned into traditional freelance position in 2016. |
