Business and Creative Management
In April 2020, I founded an online shop featuring my artwork. Alongside creating the products, I managed the business, branding, copywriting, social media, and customer service.
Lockdowns in the UK prevented my opening collection from showing. My response was the creation of a successful virtual exhibition. I wrote a press release to various publications in the USA and UK about my virtual exhibition. This resulted in a cover and feature of the Dayton Daily News, as well as coverage in three additional publications.
I also used social media, namely Instagram, for promotional use. Creating a social media strategy, I created content using both videography and photography to enhance my outreach.
Lastly, I managed a blog called The Collector to share studio news with subscribers, as well as sales, new pieces, and tips in watercolor.
